Job summaryServing people with learning disabilities in the London Borough of Hackney, the Hackney Integrated Learning Disability Team is an integrated health and social caremultidisciplinary service. The service is committed to facilitation and liaison with local health andsocial care provider services in order that people with learning disabilities can access mainstreamservices where possible and that their experience and outcomes are good. Additionally, the serviceprovides specialist input to clients where this is required.

Main duties of the jobProviding a highly specialist clinical psychology service to people with learning disability and their families/carers including assessment, development and implementation of specialist psychological interventions, the post holder will develop a key role in the Hackney Integrated Learning Disability Service. The postholder will contribute to the continuing development of psychology andof the service.

Acting autonomously the postholder will manage a defined caseload of complex casesindependently, evidencing problem solving and clinical reasoning skills in line with evidence basedand client-centred principles. S/he will be involved in clinical research and development whereappropriate.
