b Overview /b p In this role you will provide inpatient and outpatient urology services within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes. You will train and supervise trainees, take part in clinical governance and audits, and develop sub-special interests to advance the department. The post offers on-call duties on a 1:7 rota and opportunities to shape service development within the Trust’s mission to deliver outstanding care for the community. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li office accommodation /li li secretarial support /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide inpatient and outpatient urology services /li li Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, clinical nurse specialists) /li li Contribute to training and supervision of trainees and other staff /li li Carry out appraisals and assessments of medical staff /li li Develop special interests to enhance the department /li li Engage in CPD and clinical governance activities /li li Participate in audit and Care Group activities /li li On-call rota 1:7 with prospective cover for urology patients /li li Support development of the urology service /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Full GMC registration with Licence to Practice /li li CCT or on Specialist Register OR anticipated within 6 months of interview; CESR or European rights acceptable /li li 5 years clinical Urology experience at SPR or equivalent /li li Ability to cope with the demands of a DGH-based Consultant /li li Evidence of leadership, service development and team-working /li li Understanding of clinical governance, audit, and research principles /li li Teaching experience and ability to communicate effectively /li li General management skills and NHS organisational knowledge /li /ul ul li leadership /li li teamworking /li li teaching and communication /li li independent core Urology procedures: TURP, TURBT, DSU lists, Flexible and rigid URS laser /li li experience with advanced BPH procedures (REZUM, HoLEP) desirable /li li Urodynamics studies /li /ul
