In this Band 7 ECP role, you will join a multidisciplinary MIU team to deliver care for minor injuries and illnesses in the local community. Responsibilities
- autonomous assessment, documentation, prescribing, and discharge in the Minor Injuries Unit
- manage staffing in the MIU in the absence of the clinical lead
- coordinate specialist interventions to meet urgent healthcare needs
- triage and assess patients with minor injuries and illnesses
- collaborate with primary and secondary care interfaces
- lead and implement evidence-based care and evaluation of outcomes
- contribute to staff training and development
- support safe and effective discharge planning
Key requirements
- relevant degree qualification
- current professional registration
- evidence of continuing professional development
- experience in minor injuries or emergency department settings
- APiCA and Independent Non-Medical prescribing
- ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
