Overview
In this role you lead the Torbay Business Support Team to ensure the smooth operation of physical health pathways for children across Torbay and South Devon. You will manage a team, handle workload and performance issues, and oversee essential admin actions that keep services running efficiently. You collaborate with a supportive, cross-functional group and contribute to improving child health services through strong operational leadership. Responsibilities
- Line management of up to eight direct reports
- Manage workload, performance, and absence issues
- Mailbox management
- Clinic planning
- Data validation
- Building compliance oversight
- Other essential administrative functions
Key requirements
- Computer literate
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Clerical/administrative or reception experience (min 3 years)
- Experience in line management of administrative staff
- Experience in customer care, healthcare or social care setting
- Experience dealing with HR/staffing issues
- Experience in minute taking
- Proactive and organised
- Strong communication
- Ability to handle sensitive HR issues
