Overview
In this role you will provide high-quality, recovery-oriented psychiatric care within a Defence Primary Healthcare team at Venning Barracks. You will work in a multi-disciplinary setting to maximise personnel fit for task, supporting service personnel and entitled civilians. The position offers full-time hours with flexible options and a strong emphasis on collaboration, education, and professional development. Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based psychiatric interventions as part of an MDT
- Manage patient care with timely referrals to regional services
- Collaborate with patients, families and significant others in treatment when appropriate
- Liaise with the in-patient Consultant Psychiatrist and attend ward rounds as required
- Utilise advanced communication skills to address sensitive difficulties
Key requirements
- GMC registration with licence to practise
- CCT and Specialist Register in General Adult or forensic Psychiatry
- Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration and CCST/CCST- equivalent status (eligible if within 6 months of CCST)
- Disclosures: DBS check, security clearance requirements
