In this role you work as a Specialist Screening Practitioner within the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme to guide and support patients through their screening journey. You will balance delivering clinical care with patient advocacy, joining a team that values development and flexible, travel-enabled work across Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital. You’ll handle pre-assessment and clinic delivery, communicate results, and participate in surveillance pathways that include Lynch Syndrome monitoring. Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-assessment clinics and support patients during endoscopic or radiological procedures
- Review histology and communicate results to patients along defined pathways
- Contribute to FIT, results, and surveillance clinics (including Lynch Syndrome)
- Attend endoscopic procedures for data collection and maintain standards
- Ensure accurate documentation of histology and Optical Diagnosis
- Travel between Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital to cover SSP clinics and endoscopy lists
- Complete mandatory induction and SSP Degree/Masters module as required
