Overview

In this Salaried GP role, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centred primary care within a busy, supportive practice serving about 20,000 patients. You’ll work closely with a strong MDT and benefit from mentorship and a learning culture, with protected admin time and structured professional development. You will see patients across in-person and digital consultations, manage a broad range of conditions, and contribute to improving care quality. This is a stable, mission-driven position in a collaborative, wellbeing-focused team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing a broad range of conditions
  • Deliver consultations face-to-face, by phone, and via digital platforms and develop management plans
  • Prescribe, review medications, arrange investigations, and refer to specialist services as needed
  • Promote health education and preventative care
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care

Key requirements

  • Experience of working in primary care/general practice
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Good organisational, time management, and IT skills
  • Understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding responsibilities
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Register
  • Licence to practise and evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team collaboration and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
  • IT skills
  • Experience with clinical governance and safeguarding processes
  • Desirable: SystmOne
