Overview
In this role you will support the General Manager in the Surgery and Planned Care Division to drive high-quality services. You will work with Clinical Lead, Clinicians and Matrons to ensure efficient operational management within a Clinical business unit. The position is part of the NHS group delivering care at scale and aims to continuously improve performance and patient outcomes. This is an opportunity to shape service delivery, collaborate across teams, and contribute to sustainability and financial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Monitor departmental operational performance and ensure standards are met
- Escalate issues when needed and take corrective action
- Analyze complex data to inform decision-making and compare options
- Support the General Manager and work with Clinical Lead, Clinicians and Matrons
- Manage the operational functions within a Clinical business unit
Key requirements
- Master's Degree or equivalent training and experience
- Evidence of management development
- Evidence of CPD
- Track record of implementing significant changes

- Experience of line managing staff
- Desirable: Formal project management qualification
