Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of professionals
- Drive service improvements and clinical care delivery
- Provide training and mentorship to junior colleagues
- Contribute to teaching, audits, and research initiatives
- Support staff wellbeing and maintain high standards of professional practice
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology capabilities
Key requirements
- GMC registration and eligibility for GMC Specialist Register or equivalent
- CCT or equivalent (or near completion at interview)
- FRCPath (UK) or equivalent
- Expertise in Cellular Pathology with potential sub-specialty interests (hematopathology, gynaecological, uropathology, GI)
- Ability to lead a multi-professional team and manage clinical priorities
- Strong IT skills and involvement in audits/research
