As a Project Manager, you will lead capital schemes within the Frimley Health ICS, guiding them from feasibility through design to construction and completion. You’ll collaborate with clinical, operational and Estates colleagues to ensure safe, high-quality delivery within budget. The role sits in a small, collaborative team and offers meaningful impact on healthcare environments. You’ll drive governance, reporting and risk management while supporting strategic estate planning.

Responsibilities
- Lead feasibility and design development for major and minor capital schemes with whole-scheme budget estimates
- Develop end-user briefs and secure formal approvals
- Coordinate detailed design information with the design team
- Deliver capital projects on- and off-site from inception to completion
- Monitor budgets and address financial risks early
- Provide professional/technical advice on capital projects and estate development
- Identify procurement routes per Trust Standing Orders and SFIs
- Prepare technical specifications and manage tender processes
- Manage external design consultants and contractors with clear briefs
- Administer contracts using ProCure22 templates as appropriate
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure high workmanship standards
- Build strong relationships with clinical/operational/Estates colleagues and stakeholders
- Provide regular progress updates and formal reports
- Maintain accurate electronic project records and up-to-date CAD drawings
- Support capital programme delivery and strategic estate planning
- Work flexibly across the Frimley Health ICS patch
- Ensure health and safety information and training for site users
- Uphold equality, diversity and information governance policies
Key requirements
- Qualification in Architecture, Surveying or Engineering or related design/construction discipline
- Significant experience managing complex capital schemes
- Experience writing specifications and tender documentation
- Experience of NHS or healthcare environment (desirable)
- Experience with ProCure21+/22 processes (desirable)
- Line management experience (desirable)
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong budget and financial management
- Good communication and report-writing abilities
- Knowledge of current construction regulations and legislation
- Proficient IT and CAD skills (Auto CAD, Google Sketch Up) (desirable)
