Overview

As Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead and grow our new internal recruitment agency, building a high-performing function that attracts diverse, high-quality candidates quickly. You will own end-to-end recruitment, delivering strong shortlists and a stellar candidate experience, while reducing time-to-hire and agency reliance. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery across multiple sites, using data to continuously improve. You’ll travel to MHM services nationwide to tailor approaches and support hiring managers, shaping MHM’s employer brand and workforce inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the internal Talent Acquisition function to high performance
  • Embed service standards and performance expectations across the agency
  • Develop proactive, inclusive talent pipelines through direct sourcing and partnerships
  • Attract candidates from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented groups
  • Reduce reliance on recruitment agencies through direct sourcing
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand needs and challenges
  • Provide high-quality, diverse shortlists and excellent candidate experience
  • Strengthen employer brand across recruitment channels
  • Implement inclusive, compliant safer recruitment practices
  • Inspire the TA team with focus on service, pace, quality, and continuous improvement

Key requirements

  • Significant leadership experience of a recruitment or talent acquisition function in a multi-site organization
  • Experience managing and developing recruitment/resourcing teams
  • Proven end-to-end recruitment delivery at scale, including volume and specialist roles
  • Experience building proactive talent pipelines beyond reactive advertising
  • Experience reducing agency reliance via direct sourcing strategies
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders on workforce planning and vacancy governance
  • Experience setting and managing recruitment KPIs and performance standards
  • Experience implementing or operating safer recruitment practices in a regulated environment
