Responsibilities

  • Oversee supplier performance to meet contractual obligations and service levels
  • Build effective supplier relationships aligned with NHSBT strategy
  • Support procurement, tendering and contract renewal for fit-for-purpose services
  • Analyse complex commercial, contractual and performance data for decision-making
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to maximise value for money
  • Provide expert commercial guidance and training on ICT procurement
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders and boards
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers, service managers and users to support governance and continuous improvement

Key requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant discipline (as per essential qualifications)
  • Significant experience in commercial management including contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Experience working with technical teams to translate requirements into commercial solutions
  • Knowledge of benchmarking to demonstrate value for money
  • Experience reporting to Senior Management Teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Proven analytical ability to evaluate complex situations and make sound judgments
