Overview
In this role you will lead the pharmacy clinical trials service to support a diverse portfolio of studies at University Hospitals Tees. You will ensure compliance with GCP, GMP and medicines regulations while coordinating with sponsors, R&D and staff to safeguard participants and optimize trial delivery. Based across North Tees, Hartlepool and with cross-site collaboration, you will drive service development, feasibility assessment, and governance for IMP handling. The role offers meaningful impact on patient access to innovative therapies within a supportive, research-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the pharmacy clinical trials service across University Hospitals Tees
- Ensure compliance with GCP, GMP and medicines regulations and ethical requirements
- Coordinate feasibility assessments and set up of new trials, including capacity planning
- Engage with sponsors and stakeholders throughout initiation, maintenance and archiving of trials
- Participate in local and national clinical trial networks to share best practices
- Support R&D and grant applications for Trust sponsored and Chief Investigator studies
- Collaborate with research and pharmacy colleagues to provide guidance and support
Key requirements
- Registered Pharmacist with GPhC
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or working towards it
- Up-to-date GCP training or willingness to obtain
- Master's Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- Significant hospital pharmacist experience and hospital pharmacy lead experience
- Computing skills including Microsoft Office
