b Overview /b p In this Consultant role you will deliver psychiatric assessment and holistic care for children and young people up to 18, contributing to a CAMHS service undergoing transformation. You will lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to shape care pathways and drive service improvement. The position offers opportunities to develop leadership and teaching roles, with focus on neurodevelopmental and mental health needs. A meaningful hook is the chance to influence patient care at scale within a large, integrated trust. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li flexible working /li li permanent contract /li li attractive consultant salary (Β£113,565–£150,569) /li li opportunity for GMC trainer role /li li professional development support /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Conduct mental health assessments, provide psychiatric opinions and diagnoses for under-18s /li li Develop comprehensive, holistic care plans for referred patients /li li Assess new patients and conduct follow-up reviews in hours and on call /li li Provide on-call coverage as required /li li Write reports and attend multiagency meetings for young people on caseload /li li Follow Trust person-centred care pathways (CPA-based) /li li Ensure clinical supervision minimum of 8 hours per year /li li Pursue Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (trust support available) /li li Prepare and contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement activities /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li MB BS or equivalent medical qualification /li li Fully GMC registered with licence to practise /li li Eligible for Specialist Register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or within 6 months of CCT /li li Approved Clinician status OR ability to achieve within 3 months /li li Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months /li li Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills /li li Ability to manage clinical complexity and make evidence-based decisions /li li Experience in teaching, audits, and service evaluation (desirable) /li /ul ul li leadership and influence in a multidisciplinary team /li li excellent communication and report-writing /li li ability to engage with multiagency partners /li li bio-psycho-social assessment /li li risk assessment and management /li li experience with CPA/clinical governance /li /ul
