Overview
In this role you will join a established gastroenterology team to deliver high-quality care across the Trust’s hospitals. You will contribute to the development of gastroenterology and liver services, participate in a 1 in 12 GI bleeding and emergency endoscopy on-call rota, and support multidisciplinary collaboration. The role offers a supportive environment and opportunities to shape service delivery within a growing network of sites. A strong focus on patient-centered care and clinical governance underpins the position.

Responsibilities
- Maintain high-quality, patient-centered care
- Co-manage day-to-day service delivery and contribute to strategic planning
- Teach and train within the multidisciplinary service
- Participate in MDT meetings and directorate governance activities
- Engage in continuing medical education
Key requirements
- Entry on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT; MRCP or equivalent
- Broad Gastroenterology experience; diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy
- Ability to provide independent expert diagnostic opinion
- Evidence of leading patient safety improvements and practice change
- Engagement with clinical governance
- Appraisal and revalidation experience
