Overview
In this role you will provide expert reporting and interventional chest radiology within a high-performing NHS team. You will contribute across the full diagnostic and interventional chest spectrum, supporting continuity of care and on-call duties. The post supports service expansion in lung and cardiac imaging, with opportunities to grow subspecialty capabilities. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality reporting across plain film, ultrasound, CT and MRI for chest radiology
- Perform CT-guided biopsy and chest interventional procedures
- Contribute to on-call and acute imaging to ensure continuity of care
- Undertake general radiology support and participate in team expansion
- Potentially develop additional subspecialty reporting or interventional skills
- Fulfill duties appropriate to Consultant grade and support colleagues in a collaborative team
Key requirements
- On GMC Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at interview date
- FRCR or equivalent higher qualification; Fellowship desirable
- Subspecialty training and experience in chest imaging post FRCR 2B
- Experience in General Radiology; confident with IT
- Desirable: chest intervention and cardiac imaging experience
- Must reside within 20 miles / 60 minutes of Airedale General Hospital and be able to provide on-call service
- Current UK professional registration
