Overview
In this role, you will coordinate a broad range of wellbeing activities to engage residents across physical, psychological, and social dimensions. You will work within a close-knit team at Loxley Park Care Home to uphold dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment for each resident. Your work will shape daily life and contribute to a caring, professional home environment. You will partner with residents, families, and staff to plan meaningful activities and outings, fostering a positive and enriching living experience. This is a role where compassionate engagement and organized activity planning directly enhance residents’ quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide a wide range of activities to engage residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being
- Promote privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents
- Identify life history, needs, and preferences to support detailed life story development
- Plan and submit monthly activity and wellbeing plans and weekly overviews to the Home Manager
- Arrange activities, events and outings and encourage involvement of staff, relatives and visitors
- Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the home’s positive image
Key requirements
- Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting
- Experience organising activities and events
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events
- ADBS Disclosure check and right to work in the UK
