Overview

In this role you will deliver acute medicine as a Consultant at Northern General Hospital within a leading NHS trust. You will work toward high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support patient pathways. Responsibilities

  • Provide expert acute medicine care as an independent practitioner
  • Maintain GMC registration and Specialist Register status or near completion of CCT
  • Engage in teaching and supervision of medical students and trainees
  • Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to CPD activities and incorporate research into clinical practice
  • Support NHS management structures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Key requirements

  • Full GMC registration with licence to practice
  • Name on Specialist Register or within 6 months of interview date
  • Basic Medical Degree
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • CCT or within 6 months of award (UK trained)
  • Ability to work independently in general/acute internal medicine
  • PROUD values alignment

  • CME/CPD participation
  • Audit and governance experience
  • Teaching and training of medical staff
