One Health is looking for a qualified Consultant Anaesthetist to join our growing Anaesthetic Team with focus on Lincolnshire & West Yorkshire. Work will be carried out within a range of independent sector hospitals to support One Health's NHS theatre lists. The applicant will be subject to the relevant practicing privileges at each hospital and must be prepared to travel between locations. The applicant should have experience of working as a substantive Consultant within the NHS, must be on the GMC Specialist Register and have no licensing restrictions.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve providing anaesthetic services to our surgeons for NHS patients undergoing elective surgery. Surgical specialities we provide are Orthopaedic, Spinal, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology. Theatre lists are held at several locations, with roles having a specific focus on the Lincolnshire and West Yorkshire areas, and the applicant will be expected to travel between hospital sites.

Job responsibilities

One Health is looking for a fellowship-trained Consultant Anaesthetist to support and grow the One Health Group Anaesthetics team. The role will involve assessing and operating on NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral System. All surgeons who work with One Health will be subject to our onboarding process and approval from our Clinical Governance Lead. Practicing Privileges will be required to be obtained for each hospital where procedures are undertaken. The work will be undertaken across a variety of independent hospitals across Yorkshire and the Midlands, the Consultant must therefore be prepared to travel.

Person Specification

  • You will have strong written/verbal communication in the English language.
  • You will have experience working within the relevant surgical specialities in a similar role, in either a private or NHS setting.
  • You will have previous experience working within the NHS.
  • Must be on the GMC Specialist Register and have no licensing restrictions.
