b Overview /b p In this role you will drive robust financial management and reporting across a designated portfolio, aligning budgets with the ICB’s strategic priorities. You will partner with budget holders and clinical/commercial leads to provide timely financial advice and challenge, supporting transformation and financial sustainability. You’ll lead month-end reporting, forecasting, and planning, and contribute to longer-term financial strategy and statutory returns. The role blends financial stewardship with business partnering to optimise value for money across healthcare services. This is a collaborative, impactful opportunity within a values-driven NHS system. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead month-end reporting and forecasting for your portfolio /li li Support budget setting and medium-term financial planning /li li Prepare information for statutory returns, NHS England monthly returns, FOIs /li li Provide financial advice to budget holders and commissioning teams /li li Support pathway design, activity modelling, and efficiency planning /li li Develop and improve financial systems, processes and reporting tools /li li Contract monitoring and financial sustainability initiatives /li li Interpret complex financial information and present actionable options to stakeholders /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li CCAB Qualified or significant appropriate experience /li li Extensive experience in NHS or public sector finance /li li Proven track record in budgeting, monitoring and reporting across multiple services /li li Experience leading and managing staff in a senior role /li li Strong understanding of governance responsibilities in statutory organisations /li li Continuing Professional Development in NHS financial accounts policies /li /ul ul li Negotiation and stakeholder management /li li Strong numerical and verbal reasoning /li li Strategic thinking and problem solving /li li Expert knowledge of NHS finance practices and legislation /li li Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning /li li Financial reporting and analysis of complex trends /li /ul
