The predicted salary is between 66582 - 77368 Β£ per year.

The post holder will support the Senior Digital Management Team by providing effective programme management support for the successful delivery of the EPR development roadmap. They will manage the overall scope, objectives and priorities for the programme and ensure delivery structures are in place to drive progress and deliver all identified objectives. They will provide day-to-day leadership of the programme and stakeholder interaction. They will be accountable for the development and management of risk registers and risk mitigation plans of the overall programme and supporting projects.

The post holder will also be responsible for leading the implementation of other large-scale digital programmes and projects which impact across the Trust. Programmes will typically involve significant organisational change management and may require the solving of complex ICT issues. In addition, the post holder will have line management responsibility for a number of permanent and temporary project staff.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Providing strategic leadership for the delivery of major digital transformation programmes, including the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) roadmap.
  • Ensuring programme governance, stakeholder engagement, change management, benefits realisation, risk management, budget oversight and the successful delivery of digital initiatives that improve patient care and operational performance.
  • Working closely with clinical, operational and executive leaders to drive innovation, continuous improvement and organisational transformation across the Trust.

Qualifications:

  • Master Degree or equivalent, preferably in a relevant subject (or commensurate work experience).
  • Post-registration study and/or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable: Prince 2 qualification; Managing Successful Programmes qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years senior NHS experience.
  • Experience at a senior level within a programme or project team.
  • Experience of managing the procurement and implementation of major IT systems.
  • Knowledge of the potential of ICT and how best the NHS can make use of information systems to support clinical innovation.
  • Experience of training or facilitating multi-disciplinary staff groups.
  • Experience of managing change in complex environments.
  • Experience of service redesign across departments and/or overseeing improvement plans.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to develop and implement Information and IT strategies including gaining commitment from key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff from a range of backgrounds including from technical and user roles working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate appropriately.
  • Ability to write clearly and appropriately for particular purpose/target group.
  • Ability to influence decision-making and practice.
  • Ability to process information in a logical order and develop & document procedures.
  • Confidence to work with groups of different sizes, including formal presentations to a variety of different stakeholders up to Board level.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work appropriately.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams of disparate staff and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to work across organisational boundaries.
