Overview
As Clinical Manager you will provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team across four sites, shaping care delivery and patient experience.
You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on clinical work, including weekly clinics and medicines management.
You’ll work closely with the Practice, HR, Estates and Business Managers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care aligned to the Practice’s Outstanding standards.
This is a chance to lead service development while supporting staff development and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship to the multidisciplinary team (Clinical Leads and Clinical Practitioner Team)
- Direct line management of Clinical Leads and Clinical Practitioner Team
- Lead delivery of effective and efficient healthcare, including medicines management, chronic disease management, wound care, travel health, immunisations and cervical cytology
- Conduct clinical sessions in an area of interest and participate in weekly clinics
- Collaborate with Practice Manager to ensure high-quality patient care
- Lead and participate in development of local guidelines, protocols and standards
- Plan and implement changes within the clinical area and engage in practice-based commissioning initiatives
- Ensure staff development opportunities and maintain clinical supervision documentation
- Promote a learning environment and continuous professional development
- Maintain person-centred care with goal-based discussions and effective patient communication
- Produce accurate patient records and ensure adherence to legislation and policies
- Identify and manage long-term conditions with a patient-centred approach
- Provide information about medications, interactions and side effects
- Prioritise health problems and manage emergency situations as needed
- Lead in quality initiatives and ensure staff have necessary skills and qualifications
- Read, understood and implement HR policies in collaboration with HR team
- Communicate NHS policy and guidance to Partners and staff
- Key requirements
- Registered with NMC/HCPC/GPh C
- Up to date revalidation
- Non-Medical Prescriber Qualification
- Relevant clinical degree
- APACs course (Advanced, Physical and Consultation Skills module)
- Mentor/teaching qualification
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience
- Experience in implementing clinical guidelines and managing a team
- Experience in quality initiatives such as clinical benchmarking
- Experience of MDT collaboration and infection control procedures
