Job summaryWe seek a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our friendly and experienced team in Beechlydene Ward, Fountain Way, Salisbury. Our objective is for Beechlydene Ward to be the best provider of working age adult in-patient care in the region.They will work with ward staff on quality improvement, including introducing innovative practice, improving safety, engagement with carers and psycho-education for patients. Contribute to local academic programme teaching junior doctors, medical students and staff in allied professions. In addition, there is a monthly PDP group and Peer Supervision. The post offers study leave arrangements as well as good research, service development and leadership opportunities.o Deliver interventions to service users at a level of intensity according to need, including include on-going assessment, diagnosiso Attend and lead regular MDT meetings and support the team with medical input as required.o Undertake urgent psychiatric assessments when necessary.o Prepare (can delegate) Mental Health Act Tribunal reports and participate in Mental Health Act Tribunal meetingsAbout usWe are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust) a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.
