A salaried GP position is available with a salary range of £96,926 to £107,903 per annum, depending on experience, pro rata. gtd healthcare is a not-for-profit provider of innovative healthcare across North-West England, and we are one of the largest NHS commissioned providers of Primary and Urgent Care Services in the region.
We are looking for a Salaried GP to complement our existing Medical Lead & GP Partner to provide care for our growing list of patients in and around the semi-rural area of Mossley. You will join our supportive and established multi-disciplinary team of pharmacists, senior clinical practitioners, and administrative staff.
The practice is located approximately 20-30 minutes from the M67 junction at Hyde or the M60 junction at Ashton-Under-Lyne, and is 5 minutes away from the main high street in lower Mossley near the train station, making commuting from the city centre easily accessible.
The hours of work for this post are 12 per week (3 sessions), to be worked on Tuesdays between 8am - 6.30pm and Wednesdays 1pm - 6.30pm. There may be opportunities for additional flexible hours to cover annual leave of the GPs on an overtime basis.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide routine and urgent clinical care for both acute and long-term conditions working to local and national guidelines.
- Participate in regular practice & clinical meetings along with safeguarding and GSF MDT meetings.
- Work with the team to continually strive to improve standards of care and achieve QoF targets and KLOE objectives as outlined by CQC.
- Participate in ongoing personal and professional development keeping up to date with appraisal and GMC requirements for licensing.

Person Specification:
- Experience: In practice as a General Practitioner/locum practitioner. Commitment to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Qualifications: A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register. Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
- Skills and Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Understanding of the current issues facing primary care.
