Overview
In this role you will lead clinical care for children in the BHR Neurodevelopmental service, contributing to a newly established, multidisciplinary team. You will provide expert neurodevelopmental assessments, supervise colleagues, and support service development and evaluation. You’ll work within a large community paediatric network to deliver evidence-based care while liaising with health and social care partners. The role offers leadership opportunities and a chance to shape a regional Neurodevelopmental service that improves outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities
- Organise and prioritise own and team workload in daily operations
- Deputise in the team manager's absence and delegate to medical staff
- Adhere to Trust protocols and maintain accurate audit records
- Lead risk management at team level including incident reporting and risk registers
- Support development of Autism/ADHD services and supervise MDT colleagues
- Contribute to integrated Neurodevelopmental service development across BHR
- Provide evidence-based clinical management and highly specialist assessments
- Manage waiting lists to ensure clinically safe levels and allocate resources by clinical need
- Produce reports for statutory work (e.g., EHC plans)
- Engage in service development, evaluation, and research initiatives
- Ensure practice aligns with Trust values and patient-centered care
Key requirements
- MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
- Full GMC registration
- On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at interview
- CCT/CCST or equivalent in Community Paediatrics or equivalent training/experience
- 2+ years General Professional Training in paediatrics; 3 years Higher Specialist Training including 2 years in Community Paediatrics; training in Neurodisability
- Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training and Desirable BLS Training
