Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychiatric advice within the multidisciplinary team
- Lead and supervise team members and supervise trainees/advanced practitioners where appropriate
- Communicate effectively with referring/receiving teams and primary care
- Participate in therapy sessions in complex cases where suitable
- Contribute to strategic development of the CAMHS service with the service manager
- Develop a personal professional development plan and engage in further qualifications, research, or transformation programs
Key requirements
- CCT or equivalent in CAMHS Psychiatry
- Full GMC Registration and licence
- Section 12 and AC approval eligibility
- Inclusion (or eligibility) on the specialist trainee list within 6 months of CCT
- Teaching ability
- Leadership in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of UK hospital systems
- IT literacy (email/internet)
- Clinical decision-making based on evidence and experience
