Overview
In this role you will deliver a high-quality colorectal surgery service across elective and emergency pathways. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide clinic, theatre, and on-call care, contributing to governance and service development. You will drive improvements in patient safety and experience while teaching and mentoring as part of a Trust-wide quality agenda. This position offers a meaningful role in shaping colorectal care across multiple sites within the Trust. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality colorectal surgery across elective and emergency pathways
- Manage outpatient clinics and theatre activity
- Participate in MDT meetings and on-call duties
- Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, teaching, and service development
- Pursue continuous improvement in line with Trust priorities and patient safety/experience
Key requirements
- Essential experience in colorectal surgery
- Current UK professional registration
- Mandatory professional/clinical registration
- Evidence of suitable education/qualifications
- Good standard of written English
