Overview

In this Band 7 role you will provide clinical leadership within the community Neighbourhood team, offering highly specialist guidance to nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues. You will supervise complex cases and ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care. You will drive service improvement, contribute to policy and practice changes, and develop staff through specialist education and training. The position sits in the transformation one team in East Surrey Reigate, supporting a Band 6 and Band 5 and leading in the brief interventions area. This is a patient‑facing leadership role with a focus on collaborative care, quality improvement and workforce development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide highly specialist advice and support to nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Manage complex cases with leadership and supervision of staff, ensuring evidence-based patient care
  • Support service improvement and quality initiatives across the service
  • Contribute to policy and practice changes arising from audits, complaints, and service evaluations
  • Lead clinical audits within the specialist area
  • Deliver specialist education and training to staff, students and patients/clients
  • Act as clinical lead for brief interventions, supervising Band 6 and Band 5 staff

Key requirements

  • NMC or HCPC or SWE registration
  • Significant experience at Band 6 or higher
  • Professional knowledge gained through degree plus post-registration/postgraduate training or CPD
  • Current UK professional registration
  • Disclosure and Barring Service check applicable
