Overview
In this senior leadership role you will provide organisation-wide clinical leadership for therapeutic practice, ensuring governance, safeguarding, and high-quality care across住宅 and remote services. You will lead the therapy workforce, shape service development, and maintain a small caseload in complex cases to anchor practice in CBT and evidence-based approaches. As a trusted adviser to the Clinical Director and Senior Leadership Team, you translate strategy into safe, effective treatments and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Provide organisation-wide clinical leadership for therapeutic practice with governance, safeguarding, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, oversee complex cases, and support audits, peer reviews, policy development and regulatory preparation.
- Lead delivery and development of therapeutic services, translating strategy into effective clinical practice.
- Provide expert guidance to senior leaders, deputise for the Clinical Director, monitor activity, outcomes and clinical quality.
- Maintain a small caseload focused on complex or high-risk cases with advanced CBT formulation and interventions.
- Line manage and supervise Gambling Therapists, support clinical decision-making, training, recruitment, induction, and workforce planning.
- Demonstrate trauma-informed, evidence-led, collaborative leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.
Key requirements
- Post-qualification experience in addiction and/or mental health services (3+ years).
- Recognised postgraduate or doctoral qualification in CBT, counselling, psychology, or related field.
- Current accreditation with BABCP, BACP, HCPC, UKCP or equivalent.
- Clinical supervision qualification and ongoing CPD.
- Experience with complex/high-risk presentations, safeguarding, suicidality and co-occurring mental health issues.
- Advanced CBT formulation skills and ability to integrate other therapeutic approaches.
- Proven experience line managing qualified therapists and contributing at senior leadership level.
- Strong governance, audit, quality assurance, and outcomes monitoring capabilities.
