Job summaryWe are looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated Consultant
Psychiatrist to join the team at Redditch Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.

Worcestershire is a mixed rural and urban county of
over 500 square miles and around million population. It covers the City of
Worcester together with the towns of Kidderminster, Stourport, Bewdley, Tenbury
Wells, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Droitwich, Evesham, Pershore, Malvern and Upton

Herefordshire

The Redditch Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (NMHT) underwent
Community Mental Health Transformation in 2021, following the principles
outlined in the NHS Community Mental Health Framework (2019). Our way of
working aims to improve access, reduce fragmentation, and help people maintain
wellbeing, stability, and meaningful lives within their own communities.

This is
full time post, but we would consider applicants looking for part time.

Main duties of the jobThe team provides accessible, person-centred mental health care
supported by local Primary Care Networks. Its purpose is to offer holistic,
trauma-informed support for adults with a range of mental health needs,
including severe, complex and enduring conditions. The team aims to meet the
needs of both people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) as well as those with
trauma histories, personality difficulties, co-morbid substance use, long-term
physical health conditions, and social adversity. To this end, the team works
collaboratively with primary care, social care, voluntary sector partners and
community services to deliver integrated, recovery-focused care. The aim is
seamless care across organisational boundaries with a no wrong front door
referral policy and a step-up and step-down flow of patient care between
primary and secondary services. The teams accepts referrals for working age adult patients aged 17
and over. Referrals are routinely received from: Herefordshire
and Worcestershire's four Mental Health inpatient wards 14 GP practices
based in Worcester The South Home
