Overview

Responsibilities
- Conduct specialist psychological assessments using diverse data sources
- Lead/participate in MDT discussions and diagnostic formulation
- Develop recommendations and intervention plans to support child development and family functioning
- Provide expert advice, consultation, and training to professionals
- Contribute to risk assessment and risk management planning
- Prepare comprehensive psychological reports and communicate findings
- Support service evaluation, governance, and quality of care standards
- Provide supervision and development support to junior staff and trainees
- Engage in CPD and contribute to teaching/training initiatives
- Maintain high standards of record keeping and professional governance
- Key requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology; HCPC Practitioner Psychologist registration
- Experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnosis (autism, ADHD, intellectual disability)
- Experience working in MDTs; ability to work with families, schools, and social care
- Strong risk assessment, safeguarding knowledge, and professional governance
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills; ability to convey complex information sensitively
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and supervision experience
