Overview
In this role you will help ensure Trust sites meet fire safety requirements and stay compliant with legislation. You will conduct fire risk assessments, train staff, and support fire safety initiatives across the Trust, while overseeing service providers to ensure their compliance. This is a mission-driven position within a diverse, wellbeing-focused NHS foundation trust that values flexibility and inclusion. You will work with cross-functional teams to reduce risk and strengthen fire safety governance, making a tangible impact on patient and staff safety. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity at Band 7 with meaningful scope to shape fire safety practices across Trust sites.

Responsibilities
- Ensure sites meet statutory fire requirements and maintain compliant fire safety systems
- Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with Trust management arrangements
- Complete Fire Risk Assessments across sites
- Provide staff training on fire safety and support overall safety culture
- Oversee service providers to ensure fire safety responsibilities meet legislation and best practice
Key requirements
- Relevant Fire Safety Qualification, Degree/Diploma
- Evidence of continued professional Development
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Substantial experience in a Fire Safety environment
- Excellent customer service, ability to engage with staff at all levels, decision making, and resource planning
