Overview

In this Education Coordinator role at CHEC, you’ll manage and coordinate clinical placements and external education programmes across our services. You’ll act as the main liaison with external stakeholders, ensuring smooth planning, administration, and delivery of training opportunities. The role emphasizes accurate records, reporting, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced healthcare education environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support education delivery and maintain professional communication. This is an opportunity to shape education experiences that support NHS-linked ophthalmology and gastroenterology care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage clinical placements across CHEC services
  • Act as main point of contact for education enquiries and manage inbox
  • Organise training programmes (scheduling, venues, supervisors, logistics)
  • Collaborate with Clinic Scheduling and Rota teams to coordinate rotas
  • Support onboarding for external placement candidates with People & Education
  • Maintain education, training, and placement records
  • Monitor attendance, participation, and completion of learning activities
  • Evaluate education programmes using surveys and feedback
  • Produce reports for managers and Health Education Institutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, healthcare institutions, students, and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and service quality
  • Act as an ambassador for the organisation and ensure professional communication
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding, and quality standards

Key requirements

  • Previous experience in an education, training, administration, coordination, or support role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience maintaining records, databases, and producing reports
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Experience coordinating training programmes, learning activities, or clinical placements (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of healthcare environments, onboarding processes, or education administration (beneficial)
