In this Consultant role you will deliver psychiatric assessment and holistic care for children and young people up to 18, contributing to a CAMHS service undergoing transformation.

Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments, provide psychiatric opinions and diagnoses for under-18s
- Develop comprehensive, holistic care plans for referred patients
- Assess new patients and conduct follow-up reviews in hours and on call
- Provide on-call coverage as required
- Write reports and attend multiagency meetings for young people on caseload
- Follow Trust person-centred care pathways (CPA-based)
- Ensure clinical supervision minimum of 8 hours per year
- Pursue Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (trust support available)
- Prepare and contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement activities
- Key requirements
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully GMC registered with licence to practise
- Eligible for Specialist Register in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or within 6 months of CCT
- Approved Clinician status OR ability to achieve within 3 months
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months
- Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills
- Ability to manage clinical complexity and make evidence-based decisions
- Experience in teaching, audits, and service evaluation (desirable)
