Overview

In this role you will deliver high-quality, specialist clinical psychology within secure services for men (and potentially women) at Guild Lodge. You will assess risks and needs, provide individual and group interventions, and contribute to staff development through consultation, training and supervision. The post offers opportunities to advance neuropsychological assessment, psychosis, personality difficulties and developmental trauma expertise within forensic/clinical practice. You will work as part of the Psychological Services Team to impact care across low/medium secure settings and related service areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and formulate service-user risks and needs; deliver group and individual interventions
  • Contribute to workforce development through consultation, training, and supervision
  • Develop expertise across forensic/clinical practice within the team
  • Support knowledge sharing and supervise other professionals as part of broader psychology services
  • Engage with neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation concepts when relevant

Key requirements

  • Post graduate doctoral level clinical psychology training or equivalent; HCPC registration; eligibility for BPS membership; ongoing CPD
  • Experience as a clinical psychologist or trainee with complex mental health and risk needs
  • Experience in forensic settings or with forensic clients; varied psychological assessments and interventions
  • Ability to integrate information from multiple sources to inform care and management plans
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) to convey sensitive information
