Overview
In this Clinical Mental Health Pharmacist role, you join a supportive Medicines Management Team to deliver pharmaceutical care across inpatient mental health wards. You will contribute to medicines optimisation, clinical reviews, and multidisciplinary rounds while supporting staff development. The role offers in-house training and potential postgraduate study, with a focus on enhancing mental health pharmacotherapy skills. You will work across Chorley District Hospital and related sites, enabling professional growth within a patient-centred mental health service.

Responsibilities
- Pharmaceutical care planning and clinical review of prescriptions
- Participation in multidisciplinary ward rounds
- Provision of medicines information to service users and staff
- Experience pharmacy practice across inpatient services and community team
- Support development of robust medicines management processes
- Contribute to delivering the Trust medicines optimisation strategy
- Ensure compliance with GPhC standards for dispensingo
- Clinical audit
Key requirements
- Masters degree in Pharmacy
- Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
- Evidence of and commitment to Continuing Professional Development
- Good clinical knowledge
- Awareness of current issues in Pharmacy
- Variety of clinical pharmacy experience
- Good written, verbal and communication skills
