Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and dispose of clinical and domestic waste from grounds, residences, and areas as directed
  • Sweep hospital entrances, pathways, roadways, car parks, and other on-site areas
  • Empty and replace bin liners
  • Clear leaf litter and litter around the site
  • Carry out minor maintenance tasks in hospital grounds with provided training
  • Lift and transport furniture, stores, and stock as required (may be very heavy)
  • Undertake other duties as needs of the service specify
  • Move beds, chairs, and equipment during Major Incidents or Fire as directed
