In this role you will lead Hard FM contract performance and lifecycle planning across the QA estate to ensure a safe, compliant environment. You will steer a skilled team, chair safety groups, and provide senior technical advice that informs operational and strategic decisions. You will assure governance, monitor service delivery, and manage data and quality to meet contractual and statutory obligations. You’ll work across multi-site NHS settings, partnering with Project Co and the FM provider to keep the estate resilient and future-ready. This is a senior, influence-driven position in a high-profile directorate with a focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Lead Hard FM contract performance, lifecycle planning, compliance assurance and technical governance across the QA estate
- Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team and chair key safety groups
- Influence at all levels to shape operational and strategic decisions
- Ensure service providers meet contractual obligations with robust governance and evidence of compliance
- Manage performance data, quality management and KPI delivery across contracts
- Safeguard safety, resilience and future readiness of the estate across multiple sites
Key requirements
- Essential degree, equivalent level qualification or experience
- Minimum 5+ years in Estates/Technical or contract management within an estates environment
- Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, MOD, defence, or similar)
- Understanding of Health Building Standards (HBN/HTM) and safety regulations
- Proven ability to lead multi-professional teams and deliver to tight deadlines
- Strong contract management capabilities to interpret obligations and collaborate with partners
- Calm, analytical approach to assess risk and make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders
