Overview
In this role you will join a expanding Radiology team focusing on cardiothoracic imaging.
You will contribute to TLHC reporting, thoracic and cardiac imaging, CT-guided biopsies and CTCA, while providing acute general and sub-speciality imaging.
CMR reporting is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
- Subspecialty interest in cardiothoracic imaging and participation in thoracic and cardiac imaging activities
- Lung cancer health check service, plain film imaging, and imaging-guided biopsies
- Participation in cardiothoracic MDTs and meetings
- Acute in-patient cross-sectional imaging and on-call service (currently 1:16)
- Training and supervision of radiographers and ultrasonographers; training for Portsmouth Radiology Training Scheme Specialty Trainees
- Delivering 8 direct clinical care sessions and 2 supporting programme activities (SPA); flexible working options
- Potential for extra DCC PAs after consultation; regular job plan reviews
- Key requirements
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT (within 6 months), CESR or EC Rights
- Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent
- Subspecialty experience in Cardiothoracic imaging
- Demonstrable thoracic and cardiac radiology experience, including ultrasound, imaging-guided biopsies, cardiac CT, MDT leadership, and plain film interpretation
