Overview
In this Centre Manager role, you lead a new Community Diagnostic Hub team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered imaging services. You’ll run the site’s operations, supported by a clinical lead, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to Alliance Medical policies. You will steer the opening and ongoing development of the centre, balancing clinical excellence with strong governance and budget management. The position suits someone with healthcare leadership experience and a solid grasp of HIW regulations, who can coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape a diagnostic facility at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Radiographers, Clinical Assistants and Administrators to deliver high-quality patient care
- Ensure service compliance with legislation, HIW requirements and Alliance policies and procedures
- Oversee opening and ongoing development of the centre and its operations
- Manage budgets, performance targets, risk, and clinical governance
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the CDC
- Maintain a patient-focused service and drive clinical excellence
- Support regulatory readiness and implement improvements based on audits and inspections
Key requirements
- Senior management experience within healthcare or social care
- Knowledge of the Independent Health Care (Wales) Regulations 2011 and National Minimum Standards
- Experience of statutory inspections and regulatory requirements
- Strong financial literacy and budget management, risk management and clinical audit skills
- IT literate and able to meet HIW 'Fit Person' requirements
- Awareness of IR(ME)R, radiation, Health & Safety, data protection and patient confidentiality
- Ability to undertake mandatory training and pass HIW Fit Person assessments
- Desirable: HIW or CQC Registered Manager experience; Welsh healthcare knowledge; Welsh language ability
