Are you an experienced clinician who delivers a high-quality service and has the leadership skills to support our staff and help them grow? An opportunity has arisen within the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (OACMHT) and Memory Clinic in Witney for a professional and dedicated Deputy Team Manager. We are seeking a skilled and experienced, full time registered Mental Health Nurse who enjoys working with Older Adults and wants to make a difference in the services we provide. We want you to join our senior leadership team to support our staff and patients.

Our team is kind, welcoming and supportive. Our team is split over 2 localities: Witney and Banbury, but this role is based in Witney. We provide a range of services including Mental Health assessment and treatment, diagnosis and treatment of dementia, Enhanced Duty Response and step-up care. Moving away from working as Care Co-ordinators we want Clinicians to provide interventional based care.

Main duties of the job

As Deputy Team Manager you will be a leader and provide line management and supervision to junior clinicians. Working as part of the Senior Leadership team you will support the Team Manager with Service development and we offer training opportunities to help you grow and master skills. Holding a small complex caseload will allow you to lead by example and still have that important patient contact whilst developing your management skills. You will also have a role in ensuring the day-to-day smooth running and management of the Memory Clinic which runs alongside our OACMHT team.

The Older Adult Community Mental health teamwork is demanding, complex and diverse but we are a small, cohesive team who are committed to supporting each other and we enjoy what we do!

Regular supervision will be provided, and you will be encouraged to undertake any training relevant to your professional and personal development. There will be opportunities for you to gain management and leadership training. You will be supported closely by your colleagues, Team Manager and Service Manager.

  • Essential: Relevant Professional Qualification (RMN)
