Empingham Medical Centre is a friendly rural dispensing practice. We currently dispense to 70% of the 9600 registered patients. We are looking for an NVQ level 2 or above Dispenser to join our dispensing team.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide efficient and accurate dispensing of medication to patients.
- Assist the Dispensary Manager in ensuring effective financial control of the dispensary.
- Ensure that the patients' computerised medical records contain all details of dispensing transactions.

At Empingham Medical Centre, we are a friendly team of GPs, ANPs, Nurses, Dispensers, and Receptionists who pride ourselves on delivering an outstanding service to all of our patients at all times. Our dispensary currently has 8 trained dispensers and a prescription clerk.

Person Specification:
- Essential: Good standard of general education, NVQ2 in Dispensing.

- Knowledge: Working knowledge of drug therapies and an understanding of medical terminology.
- Skills and abilities: Ability to communicate well, work as part of a team, and use own initiative.
- Personal qualities: Able to adapt to change and manage difficult situations.
