Overview
Join NUH as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in the EAC Directorate to lead and develop the pharmacy service for a new General Internal Medicine ward. You will work within a large, 7-day clinical pharmacy team to optimise medicines, support governance, education and safety, and help drive improvements. This role offers leadership development and potential independent prescribing training. You’ll collaborate across MDTs to improve patient outcomes and experiences within a forward-thinking, compassionate workplace.

Responsibilities
- Support and provide clinical pharmacy services to the EAC directorate and Medicine Division
- Participate in consultant-led ward rounds to promote medicines optimisation, antimicrobial stewardship and discharge planning
- Contribute to education and training of pharmacists, students and trainees
- Back-up senior on-call rota supporting junior pharmacists
- Engage in quality improvement work and aim to publish findings
- Line manage and mentor junior staff and support individual development
Key requirements
- Registered with GPhC
- Post-graduate diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or working towards it (or equivalent experience)
- Broad knowledge base of clinical areas
- Experience delivering clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting
- Experience supervising and training trainee pharmacists/technicians
- Strong communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to analyse patient-specific data to advise on therapy
- Ability to prioritise work and solve problems
