Overview

In this role you will lead the organisation’s people and culture strategy to enable growth, sustainability and service excellence. You will work with the Executive Team and Board to ensure people considerations shape decisions and planning, while guiding HR transformation and organisational development. You’ll oversee HR operations, culture change, leadership capability, and ED&I in a complex healthcare setting. Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership on people strategy, organisational development, workforce planning and cultural change
  • Advise the Chief Executive, Executive Team and Board on people matters, including sensitive employee relations
  • Oversee HR function, ensuring policies, systems, processes and reporting are compliant, up-to-date and aligned with operations
  • Develop and maintain a people strategy incorporating HR, OD, culture and capability aligned to business strategy
  • Lead organisational development and leadership capability initiatives to improve performance
  • Manage HR and OD budgets and resources with value-for-money and policy compliance
  • Lead equality, diversity and inclusion strategy across the organisation
  • Sponsor leadership development for non-clinical services and future workforce planning
  • Ensure training requirements in clinical and non-clinical areas are defined, compliant and monitored
  • Lead HR transformation projects and use data for decision making and service improvement
  • Provide assurance on workforce risk, employment compliance, culture, and leadership succession to the Executive Board
  • Sponsor organisation-wide workforce transformation and organisational design programmes
  • Lead internal communications to align with business, people and culture objectives

Key requirements

  • CIPD Level 7 qualified, or equivalent senior professional experience
  • Substantial senior experience leading organisation-wide people strategy, workforce planning and organisational development
  • Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary people function through senior managers and influencing Executive/Board decisions
  • Experience with a HRIS and generating workforce data reports
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and build trust at all levels
  • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making
  • HRIS knowledge and reporting
  • Analytical HR data interpretation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
