Consultant Psychiatrist - Male Adult Inpatients, based at Berrywood Hospital in Northampton, Northamptonshire. Cove ward is a 17 bedded male only inpatient ward and this post will require assessment and management of a wide range of psychiatric presentations. RC/AC status and section 12 required for this role.
Main duties of the job
The Consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring proactive, recovery-focused, individualised treatment plans are in place and being followed for each patient. They will be supported with a team of professionals who have been recruited specifically for this unit. Our intention is to have a short length of stay to manage only the acute phase of illness and support care in the least restrictive manner.

- Essential: MRCPsych, Full GMC Registration, On Specialist Register/CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or eligible for inclusion within six months, Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act.
