Overview
In this role you will join a busy Cellular Pathology department to provide expert histopathology, cytology and morbid anatomy reporting for hospital and primary care. You will work within a collaborative team across sites, contributing to MDTs, teaching, and service development while maintaining ISO 15189 standards. The role offers subspecialist opportunities and leadership in a lean, quality-driven environment with access to modern imaging and digital dictation tools. You will shape cancer services and autopsy participation subject to approval, supported by cross-site collaboration.

Key requirements
- Primary Medical Qualification & FRCPath or Equivalent
- Wide knowledge and experience of histopathology, morbid anatomy and cytology
- Full GMC Registration
- CCT or within six months of award (for UK trained) or equivalence (for non-UK trained)
- Experience of Audit in Pathology
- Interest in Teaching Junior Staff
- Established (or willing to develop) subspecialist interest to complement department
