Overview
In this role you will lead the Eastern Pathology Alliance, shaping strategic direction and ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective pathology service across multiple NHS trusts. You will oversee operational, financial, and governance frameworks, collaborating with lab managers, clinicians and regional stakeholders to drive service improvements. The position offers scale, complex stakeholder management and the chance to influence regional pathology strategy. A strong leadership and change-management mindset will be key to success in this mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Interface with EPA stakeholders, Primary Care, and commissioners to align priorities
- Translate Strategy and Corporate objectives into robust operational and financial plans as part of divisional planning
- Coordinate Business Planning with an agreed Performance Management framework to monitor delivery of annual plans
- Support financial teams in preparing robust business cases to ensure financial stability
- Analyze performance against targets and strategic objectives; develop strategies and plans taking into account complex factors
Key requirements
- Master's Degree or Doctoral Level qualification or MBA or equivalent experience
- HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist (essential)
- Significant senior management experience within the NHS or equivalent setting
- Experience managing across multiple organisations or a network
- Experience in managing a commercially successful health or care business
- Proven ability in operational and performance management
- Proven ability to develop and implement organisational and business strategy
