Clinical Team Leader in Norfolk

We at NSFT know it is vital that we better serve the needs of people with complex psychosis. We are seeking those who are passionate about delivering intensive, creative care for some of the most vulnerable service users we support.

We are thrilled to launch our new Intensive and Assertive Service that will provide intensive, person-centred care in the community support to individuals living with a psychotic illness across Norfolk and Suffolk. This service will proactively reach out to service users who may not engage with traditional services, delivering care in community settings such as people's homes and local environments, and maintaining persistent, therapeutic contact to build trust and sustain engagement.

We are looking to recruit two dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate individuals in the role of Clinical Team Leaders to manage the team across Norfolk and Suffolk. They will work closely with each other to deliver a consistent service across the Trust. This is a great opportunity to support with the implementation and development of a brand new specialist team that will provide invaluable care to service users who struggle to engage with traditional services. We are looking for experienced clinicians with an interest in working in an innovative and developing service. There is a need to work collaboratively with services within NSFT, the VSCE organisations within the service and external partners, so excellent communication skills are necessary.

Main duties of the job:

• You will ensure a consistent, responsive, high-quality service is delivered to patients, carers and families across the county, by adhering to operational and clinical protocols.
• Encourage creative engagement and multi-organisational team approach in order to maintain safety and clinical care for these service users.
• You will provide professional governance, ensuring compliance with KPIs, and clinical leadership to the team.
• You will develop a psychologically safe, innovative, safe culture within the team, ensuring staff have access to regular line management supervision and support.
• Work closely with consultants, clinical and professional leads internally and externally to the Trust to promote excellent practice and high-quality care.
• Take a lead in organising clinical work within the teams, matching workload to activity and demand.
• Undertake caseload management if necessary.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Essential RMN, Dip SW, Dip OT or equivalent.
• Experience: Essential experience with risk assessment and ongoing management; evidence of leading service development within a mental health setting; desirable experience in providing leadership in a mental health care environment.
• Skills: Essential establish performance management team structures and systems.
• Knowledge: Essential an understanding of policies and guidelines both local and national e.g., National Institute for Clinical Excellence guidelines.
