Overview
In this role you will advance specialist practice within a dynamic NHS trust, rotating across Emergency, Oncology/Haematology, Frailty, and other clinical areas to shape patient care. You will work with consultant-led teams to influence prescribing decisions and lead medicines safety and quality improvements. The program supports foundation training and leadership development, with technology-enabled practice to enhance patient-facing care. This is a chance to develop expert skills on the Isle of Wight and contribute to a patient-centered pharmacy service.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on prescribing decisions
- Undertake rotations across Oncology/Haematology, frailty/older person care, urgent and emergency services, and other clinical areas
- Monitor prescriptions and develop patient-centered pharmaceutical care plans
- Ensure seamless pharmaceutical care through accurate drug histories and discharge planning
- Contribute to medicines safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and train other pharmacy and healthcare professionals
- Provide line management support
- Participate in education and health promotion activities
- Represent pharmacy in Trust meetings
- Contribute to a weekday service with some weekend and on-call duties (home-based with initial screening)
Key requirements
- Master of Pharmacy
- Current listing on the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) register
- Diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent experience
- Completed general level framework competency training
- Significant experience in a pharmaceutical environment and hospital pharmacy
- Knowledge of national guidelines relating to medicines and pharmaceutical practice
- Specialist knowledge and experience in a clinical specialty
