Overview
In this role you will lead and shape clinical pharmacy services within the Trust, focusing on admissions across the emergency floor. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance medicines governance, safety, and practice through policies and audits. The role sits in a forward-looking Pharmacy team at St Mary’s Hospital, leveraging EPMA and integrated medicines management to improve patient care. Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, deliver and develop clinical services within admissions across the emergency floor
- Develop policies, procedures, guidelines, risk assessments and audits
- Promote medicines safety to minimise harm and learn from incidents and safety alerts
- Supervise, train, and support development of pharmacy staff and other health care professionals
Key requirements
- Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree or equivalent
- Current GPhC registration
- Diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent experience
- Completed general level framework competency training or equivalent
- Significant experience in a pharmaceutical environment and in hospital pharmacy
- Knowledge of national medicines guidelines and clinical specialty experience
- Articulate and numerate
- Accurate and precise
- Honest, trustworthy, reliable and discrete
- EPMA experience
- Clinical pharmacy knowledge
- Hospital pharmacy experience
